Living & working in Santa Fe, New Mexico is a blessing. Many photographers in New Mexico are expected to shoot in a "Southwestern Style." The magic of this place is not shown in stereotypes. Very little in the national media is true when referring to Santa Fe, New Mexico. Many people don't even know that New Mexico is a state. The truth here is too wild to put into a box.

I have lived in Santa Fe for fifteen years and have fallen under the spell of this place. The sun is harsh & the air very dry, together they crack my skin. This place cracks me open. Some days I could swim in the sky. The expanse of blue with it's dramatic cloud shows keeps me here. It is like drowning in beauty. I have made hundreds of thousands of pictures here.

I photograph families, children, models & artists, bands, vintage objects & old buildings. I photograph my life, my family & friends. My work is published in magazines & books. I photograph the divine feminine as I see it. Daydreams of living by the ocean someday fill my head. Yard sales & haunting antique & thrift shops are a passion for me. I love to collect vintage jewelry & buttons.

My kids blow my mind every day with their beauty and can make me very tied. They often help me with the lighting on my shoots. They are each powerful in front & behind the camera. I am trying to meditate more. In January 2005 I returned from Kerala India. The tsunami hit and destroyed the small fishing village out side of my teacher Amma's Ashram where I was staying. India brought me to my knees. I pray peace for this world. I pray for an end to the war in Iraq.
Om Shanti, Shanti, Shanti.
